Weekly Update // 23 Feb.

February 23, 2011

Breaking free of the Thursday update format! We’ve added just a few things recently, so behold…

If you are a newer fan you might not know about this gem of a piece from 2003. TodayFM radio did an almost 2 hour documentary called Revelations: The Story of the Frames. It’s about just what it says there and aired the same week as Set List was released. This is a must listen if you haven’t heard it before. You can stream it on the site or just go ahead and download all of the parts.

In addition this week:
A link to a fantastic interview with Glen after he joined Levon Helm at the most recent Midnight Ramble on 12 February.

A link to a piece/interview with The Independent (UK) from April 2005.

Lastly, we’ve added several new videos of songs already posted to the 7 December 2010 Brussels gig (Finally, Happy, Lay Me Down, Keepsake, Rent Day Blues, Pavement Tune, Star Star – Hotellounge, Revelate, Your Face, Santa Maria). Unfortunately the audio is frequently muffled/distorted, but they were shot from the front row, so if you wanted to be up front in Brussels but couldn’t quite get there, here ya go!

Special thanks to Sara & Laura this week and, as always, if you have anything Frames related to share, please do so! If you take part in online shenanigans, give us a follow at Facebook and Twitter so we can bug you over there too.

Weekly Update // 17 Feb.

February 17, 2011

Spring is springing! At least where we are. Autumn used to be my favorite season but in recent years Spring has made me happier. Especially as it corresponds with Easter candy season…any other black jellybean fans out there? There are so few of us (but we’re right!).

Ok on to the updates this week! Special shout out to our new pal Sara for sending more from her great collection!

New photos on the homepage just added tonight. We have shots by Patrick Glennon, Rob Wanenchak & David Vagg.

There is a new page detailing current Frames members’ projects outside the band. Please have a look and let us know if there is anything we can add!

We’ve added SEVEN new videos to the 6 Dec 2010 Prague show (Seven Day Mile, What Happens, Finally, Your Face, Underglass, Santa Maria, Disappointed)

More:
– info and videos from Glen’s appearance at the Neil Young tribute at Carnegie Hall 10 Feb.
– gig tickets and a setlist scan from the Philly & DC shows in 2010
– set list and DVD screencaps from the Interceltic Festival in Lorient, FR in 2002
– 2 new gig posters for Point Depot in Dublin 2005 and the 2005 US Tour with Josh Ritter
– set list for 2003 London show
– set list for Glen solo gig at Whelan’s 2003 in Dublin
– set list for 2003 gig at the Olympia in Dublin
– set list and note about appearance on Rattlebag Radio show in Dublin 2004

Ok now go weekend it up!

Weekly Update // 10 Feb.

February 10, 2011

We have a light update this week since Jenn is off on a family vacation, enjoying warmer climes. Shannon’s been holding down the fort and we have these short but sweet updates for you to enjoy!

– we switched out some of Zoran’s photos on the homepage.
– added a new Glen date for 1 April – a charity gig in Dublin for the Barretstown Foundation for kids affected by childhood cancer.
– the beloved motorcycle poster for the Frames Sept 2007 US Tour by the awesomely talented Chicago artist Jay Ryan (if you are not familiar with his work, you must check it out).
– a video for Evergreen from the 13 Dec 2010 gig at Vicar Street.
– a whole page of good stuff from Glen’s City Winery gig in NYC on 2 Feb.
– setlist and videos from Glen joining Mar for some songs at her gig at Zora Space in Brooklyn on 5 Feb.

Next week we hope to have things to share from Glen’s bit at the Neil Young tribute at Carnegie Hall tonight and whatever else pops up/gets dug up between now and then! Thanks everyone….
