Whole Lotta Zep 2012

The 3rd annual Whole Lotta Zepp gig happened at the Sugar Club in Dublin last week with a whole lotta drumming including Graham Hopkins & Johnny Boyle and more! From the WLZ site:

Whole Lotta Zepp are not just another Led Zeppelin tribute. We are a music collective dedicated to recreating the majesty of Zeppelin’s music as it sounded on their albums.

Whole Lotta Zepp’s maiden voyage was in the Sugar Club on 25th September 2010 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of John Bonham’s death. The show consisted of a number of classic Zep tunes, a three drummer working of Moby Dick, and a massive Zep medley consisting of 30 songs in 13 minutes.

This year the musicians tackled Houses of the Holy. We’re still waiting to see some video, but here are some gorgeous photos by Ronan Melia. See the rest here or click read more for a little photo gallery….

On 1 October 2011, Graham played drums for two gigs with Whole Lotta Zep at the Led Zeppelin IV Live Show at The Sugar Club in Dublin. Look closely and you’ll see Johnny Boyle drumming alongside him.
