Billy talks Colm again

March 20, 2013

Love this quote from Billy Bragg about Colm’s The Hare’s Corner from a different interview than the one previously mentioned. Hope these guys get together…

I think everyone should own The Hare’s Corner by Colm Mac Con Iomaire. It’s an album of instrumental tunes by a contemporary fiddle player from Ireland. Beautiful and relaxing, like a modern Astral Weeks.

You can read the whole interview with Billy at Fairshare Music blog.

Billy Bragg & The Hare’s Corner

March 19, 2013

harescorner_250Billy Bragg names Colm’s “The Hare’s Corner” as one of his favorites among a cast of some amazing records. We’d be totally down with a Billy + Colm collaboration! Check it out (#12) at The Quietus.

Emer's Dream

Here’s a solo version of ‘Emer’s Dream’ I did a few weeks ago at home..The moment was recorded for posterity by Karl Odlum on his fancy camera.. Emer’s Dream was written around the time of the passing of an old friend Emer Nolan in 2008.

Colm on Imeall (part 1)

In 2008 TG4's programme Imeall aired an episode featuring an interview with Colm about The Hare's Corner. It is available in 2 parts on youtube.
