Stars Are Underground

Stars Are Underground is one of The Frames’ most straight ahead rock songs. I love everything about this song; the haunting violin, the ridiculous bass, the hooky guitar, right down to the way Glen sings the last verse. Anytime I want to hear Stars I almost always go for the lead-in song first (usually God Bless Mom or Pavement Tune). There is a lot of magic in that segue.  – J

The mp3 link below is a recording from The Paradiso in Amsterdam in Feb. 2007. You can purchase the entire show at the Frames’ Official Store for €5. All proceeds go to The Simon Community, an organization that helps fight homelessness in Ireland.
Stars Are Undergound – Paradiso, Amsterdam 15 Feb. 07

Even though we have this posted at the Witnness 2001 section, I must put it here too. Best example of most awesome Pavement Tune to Stars Are Undergound segue ever (plus bonus pogo action).

16 July 2007 – Boomtown Live – Gent (by lanoukl) This one starts a little late, but Glen is really putting on a show here…then they go straight into A Caution To The Birds and, well, see the name of this site here.

28 May 2007 –  Vicar St. – Dublin (by nikabi) This version is visually very cool.

19 Nov 2010 – TLA – Philadelphia (by jabberwockie17) The first night of the 20th tour that we attended.

3 Dec 2010 – Paradiso – Amsterdam (by likeahurricane69) Wider shot than the others from the balcony.
