24 December 2018 // Dublin, IE // Christmas Eve Busk

[This page is a work in progress and we will continue to add to it as the information comes in. If you’ve anything to add, please send it in to us!]

For the tenth (!) year Glen busks in (near) Grafton Street to raise money for homeless charities Peter McVerry Trust and Simon Community. To prevent crowd control issues, this is the second year it’s staged in front of the Gaiety Theatre and the musicians are on a small stage with microphones and speakers. He is joined at various times throughout the evening by Philip Powell, Matthew Devereux, Mundy, Danny O’Reilly, Imelda May, Damien Rice, Roisin O, Stephen James Smith, Liam O’Maonlai, David Keenan, Bono + The Edge, Mic Geraghty, Dylan Harcourt, Harry Fennell, and many more.

Setlist: Do They Know It’s Christmas (Band Aid), Hey Ya (Outkast), Hey Ho (Lumineers), Don’t Look Back in Anger (Oasis), Crazy World (Aslan), Stand By Me (Ben E. King), All I Want (Kodaline), Dreams (Fleetwood Mac), Fisherman’s Blues (The Waterboys), Valerie (Amy Winehouse), Glen – A Very McVerry Christmas (Glen), Mundy – A Rainy Night in SoHo (The Pogues), Danny O’Reilly – Heroes or Ghosts/Taibhsí nó Laoich (he switches to Irish midway through at the behest of the crowd) (The Coronas), David Keenan (with Glen + Matthew Devreux joining on end harmonies) – Postcards from Catalonia (David Keenan), Róisín O – Dreams (The Cranberries), Philip Powell w/ Glen on guitar – Faith (George Michael), The Pale w/ Glen on guitar – Butterfly (The Pale), Glen & Imelda May – Fairytale of New York (The Pogues), Stephen James Smith – It’s That Time Again (poem), Liam O’Maonlaí – Eleanor a Rún, Damien Rice – Blower’s Daughter / Creep (Radiohead), Bono & The Edge – Love Is Bigger Than Anything in Its Way (U2) +
O Holy Night (Adolphe Adam) + Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) (Darlene Love) (w/ Bono and Edge, Glen, Imelda, and everyone else on guitar), Heyday (Glen, Matthew Devereaux, Róisín O, Danny O’Reilly, everyone else on guitar), The Auld Triangle (Glen, Liam, Danny O’Reilly, Mic on verses)

[Thanks to Lissie for the setlist.]
