Notes (by Charlotte): After Nico Muhly’s gig at the Barbican in London, this time Nico brought Glen and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra to the Netherlands. They started with three orchestral pieces from Bedroom Community, composed by Daníel Bjarnason, Valgeir Sigurðsson and Nico Muhly, mostly centered around the cello played wonderfully by Olly Coates. After the break Glen played his set. It was a similar set to London, with the addition of “Come Away to the Water”, as well as a new song called “Lark in the Morning” which was accompanied only by Nico on piano. I think most people agreed it felt too short for something so beautiful!
