4 September 2010 // Stradbally Village, IE // Electric Picnic

Main Set: Early Bird, Revelate, Perfect Opening Line, Underglass, What Happens When The Heart Just Stops – Caravan, God Bless Mom, Stars are Underground, Rent Day Blues, Pavement Tune, Lay Me Down, Finally, Hollocaine, Heyday, The Auld Triangle

Comments: During ‘Pavement Tune’ the large foam F-R-A-M-E-S letters behind the band are carried to the edge of the stage and sent out into the audience to crowdsurf.  Some are torn apart and Glen says, “You’re breakin’ up our band something beautiful!”. Damien Dempsey and Liam O’Maonlai join the band for ‘The Auld Triangle’, and soon the entire crowd is singing along. According to Glen at the end of the song, “Even the security are singin’!”

Review: From goldenplec.com: The Frames took to the Main Stage for their 20th anniversary gig greeted by rapturous applause. One of the bigger sing along gigs of the weekend. I wouldn’t be a Frames super fan but it seems that nobody, including myself, could resist singing along to what is a huge crowd pleaser ‘Revelate’. There is a genuine feeling of awe coming from both the stage and audience. Something which is nice to see for a homegrown talent as we can sometimes look over our own. (Aisling O’Brien)
